In the mid-18th century, amidst the rugged wilderness of southern France, a dark legend took form. From 1764 to 1767, an enigmatic and ferocious entity unleashed a reign of terror unlike any the locals had ever witnessed. With its immense size, fearsome jaws, and reddish fur marked with black streaks, the beast was said to have claimed over a hundred lives, etching itself into the annals of myth and nightmare.

The tales of the Beast's savagery spread like wildfire, stoking fear and fascination throughout the kingdom. Armed with rifles and blessed weapons, scores of hunters ventured into the forests, seeking to end the carnage. Yet, the beast eluded the best efforts of local hunters and even troops sent by the King of France himself. With each attack, the creature's legend grew, morphing into a symbol of the untamable wild and the mysteries lurking in the shadowed woods.
